Caorle

Caorle holidays offer a wide range of entertainments, water sports and liveliness on the beach, shopping, Luna park, markets, bars, pubs and a very nice and picturesque Old Town, where there are shops with typical local handicrafts. Caorle is a city over two-thousand-year-old, laden with history represented by its famous bell tower and the Romanesque cathedral built in 1038.

Caorle tourism does not mean just sea, sand and sun, but it is also a town of seaport activities and fishing, of lagoon and ponds. You can enjoy the sunsets in the nearby lagoon and take a walk in an unspoilt countryside. The lagoon is still home to the typical fishermen's huts, made of reeds. Ernest Hemingway, the famous American writer who received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954, also loved the wild nature of Caorle and devoted to it some of his finest pages in the famous book "Across the river and into the trees."

You can also easily reach Caorle from major cities such as Venice, Trieste and all towns of Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
